## How much do digital marketers earn in Indonesia?

Employees in digital marketing, including beginners, may not be paid below the 2026 minimum wage (UMK) of the regency or city where they work, at least those with less than one year of service (PP 36/2021 Articles 23 and 24). ## Which education routes lead to digital marketing jobs?

There is no single required major for digital marketing. A common route is a D3 or S1 in marketing, communication or business, followed by hands-on learning of ad and analytics platforms. ## What contracts and rights apply to digital marketing work, including remote work?

Digital marketing specialists can be hired as PKWT or PKWTT employees or as freelancers. For employees, Government Regulation 35/2021 sets a 40-hour working week and caps overtime at 4 hours a day and 18 hours a week, and employers must register workers with BPJS (Law 24/2011, Article 15). Kemnaker says the new Labour Protection Law includes protection for flexible work. Make sure your status is written clearly.

1. Find the same vacancy on the company's or agency's official website, or on Kemnaker's Karirhub.
