## Is the yellow card (AK/1) still required?

The rules have changed. The yellow card, or AK/1, was governed by Regulation 39/2016, which Minister of Manpower Regulation 18/2024 revoked from 30 December 2024 (Article 86). Job seekers who are about to start work must now have a SIAPkerja-ID, a digital workforce card holding their identity and employment status (Article 1 point 20 and Article 43). You get it by creating an account and filling in your profile on SIAPkerja, free of charge (Article 36(4)).
