What happens to your report?

KarirAman editors read every report. Reports are used to update our scam pattern pages, the job checker rules and anonymous scam statistics. Phone numbers, e-mail addresses, links and long strings of digits such as bank account numbers are redacted before storage and are never published. We never name a company as a scammer without an official government list or a court decision.

KarirAman cannot investigate, act against scammers, block bank accounts or recover money. If you have already transferred money, contact your bank straight away and report to the official channels below. The OJK Satgas PASTI booklet advises reporting as quickly as possible, because funds are more likely to be traced when the report comes in early.

What should you include?

Say where you saw the ad or message, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, social media or a job site, then paste the text of the ad. Describe what you were asked for, such as a fee, personal data or documents, and whether you have lost money. Give an e-mail address only if you want us to reply.

Do not send a photo of your ID card (KTP), your own bank account number, a one-time code (OTP), a PIN or a password. Keep your own copies of screenshots, transfer receipts, and the scammer's phone and account numbers, because the police and your bank will need them.
