How is KarirAman's corrections log built?
The corrections log on this page is built automatically from the change history of every published page. Each fix to a mistake of ours is marked as a correction on the page concerned and then appears in this log with the date, the page, what changed and its source, newest first. If the log is empty, no published page has been corrected yet.
How do I ask for a correction?
Send three things to the editors through the corrections section of the contact page: the page link, the part you think is wrong and the correct official source, such as a governor's decree, a regulation on peraturan.go.id or an agency announcement. Reports with an official source are much faster for us to check.
If one of our pages holds inaccurate personal data about you, you also have the right to have it corrected. Article 6 of Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU 27/2022) gives data subjects the right to complete, update and correct their personal data.
What happens after I send a correction?
An editor checks your report against primary sources. If our page is wrong, we fix it, update the "Updated" date and log the correction on this page and in that page's change log. If our page is right, we reply with the source we used. Data with a direct impact, such as minimum wages, the status of routes abroad and official contact numbers, comes first.
How is a correction different from a routine update?
A correction fixes a mistake we made, such as a wrongly quoted decree number. A routine update happens because the source changed, such as a new year's minimum wage or the latest BPS release. Routine updates are logged in each page's own change log, while corrections are logged here.
What about a right of reply?
Organisations or people mentioned on KarirAman can ask for a right of reply through the contact page, with supporting evidence. We review the response, then publish it or use it to correct the page. We explain our decision to the sender, including when we decide not to change the page.

How long does a correction take?
We check every report as quickly as we can and put data with a direct impact first, such as minimum wages, the status of routes abroad and official contact numbers. If we have to wait for an official document to be published, we let you know.
Does KarirAman delete pages that were wrong?
Usually not. We fix the page and log the correction so readers know what changed. A page is withdrawn only if it cannot be fixed or could put readers at risk, and that withdrawal is logged here too.
