What is free on KarirAman?

Everything. Reading guides, using the job checker, viewing minimum-wage data and posting a vacancy as an employer cost nothing. There are no paid accounts, subscriptions or premium features, and we have no plans to add any.

How does KarirAman run without ads?

KarirAman is a free initiative of Kode Nirlaba. Kode Nirlaba is an independent initiative, not a registered foundation (yayasan), and according to kodenirlaba.org it does not accept public donations. We run no ads, use no affiliate links, accept no sponsored content and never sell visitor data to anyone.

Do employers pay to post a vacancy?

No. Employers post vacancies on KarirAman for free and without an account. There are no paid listings, featured listings or rankings for sale. Every vacancy goes through the same checks before it is published, and we turn down any vacancy that asks applicants for money. See the page for employers.

Why do legitimate vacancies never charge a fee?

Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) says a fee in the recruitment process is almost certainly a scam. That is why KarirAman only lists vacancies that charge applicants nothing, and turns down vacancies that ask for money for registration, training, uniforms or anything similar.

What about the cost of working abroad?

Law 18/2017 (UU 18/2017) Article 30(1) states that Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) cannot be charged placement costs. Permen P2MI 17/2025 makes the employer bear the placement-cost components, and the worker may be charged only costs that are written and itemised in the placement agreement (Perjanjian Penempatan). Any request for money outside that document, especially in cash or to a personal bank account, is a red flag.

KarirAman does not place workers and does not work with placement agencies. We explain these rules and link the official list of licensed placement agencies (P3MI) so you can check it yourself.

What will KarirAman never do?

  • Ask job seekers, employers or people reporting scams for money, in any form.
  • Sell or rent space on our pages, such as featured listings or paid links.
  • Sell, rent or share visitor data for advertising.
  • Offer a "priority route", a "special route" or a promise that you will be hired.
  • Tell you to transfer money to anyone.
  • Use the Garuda emblem, ministry, Kemnaker or KP2MI logos, or government letterheads, or issue letters, certificates or recommendations (rekomendasi). Any document in KarirAman's name that carries them is fake.

What if someone asks for money in KarirAman's name?

It is a scam. Do not transfer anything, keep the messages as evidence and report it to us through the report form or the contact page. If you have already lost money, call your bank straight away, then report to the official channels below. The OJK Satgas PASTI booklet advises reporting as quickly as possible, because funds are more likely to be traced when the report comes in early.

Frequently asked questions

Will KarirAman ever charge for anything?

No. There are no paid accounts, subscriptions, premium features or featured listings, and we have no plans to add any. If this policy ever changed, the change would be announced on this page with its date, never through a private message.

Who pays the costs of working abroad?

KarirAman does not place anyone abroad. Under Law 18/2017 (UU 18/2017) Article 30(1), Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) cannot be charged placement costs. Permen P2MI 17/2025 makes the employer bear placement costs, and the worker may be charged only costs written and itemised in the placement agreement (Perjanjian Penempatan). Any other request for money is a red flag.

Can a company use KarirAman's name to recruit?

No. KarirAman does not partner with any company or agency to recruit. An ad or message that uses KarirAman's name or logo to recruit, especially one that asks for a fee, is not from us. KarirAman also never uses the Garuda emblem, ministry, Kemnaker or KP2MI logos, or government letterheads, and never issues letters, certificates or recommendations. Keep the evidence and report it.
