Are you in danger and still in Indonesia?

How do you report a job scam to the police in Indonesia, and what should you bring?

Police reports (Laporan Polisi) are made at a police station's SPKT desk, which handles public reports and complaints; in an emergency call Polri on 110. Gather evidence before you report: screenshots of the ad or source of the scam, your chats with the scammer, transfer receipts, your account details and the receiving account, the scammer's phone number or account, the date and time, and a short chronology. IASC also asks for the reporter's identity, an active contact, and a power of attorney when reporting for someone else. Keep all of it yourself; do not post scammers' account or phone numbers on social media.

Does an IASC report replace a police report?

No. According to IASC, its report is for fast financial handling: delaying transactions and blocking the scammer's accounts through banks and payment providers. A police report (Laporan Polisi) is for the legal process and prosecution. IASC asks victims to do both.
