The education and training routes linked to working in South Korea through Employment Permit System (EPS) G to G, E-9 visa: Vocational high school (SMK) in Indonesia, BLK and BPVP, Language tests for working abroad, BNSP competency certification in Indonesia.

What does passing EPS-TOPIK mean?

Passing EPS-TOPIK means you may enter the EPS job-seeker pool, not that you have a job. The official EPS website says passing does not guarantee a job in Korea. For manufacturing in 2026, KP2MI announced on 10 September 2026 that 2,020 candidates passed EPS-TOPIK, but under the point system that is not the final result because the Skill Test still follows.

Once you are in the pool, employers in Korea choose the workers. KP2MI regularly lists candidates whose roster period ended without being chosen, for example 48 people in its notice of 1 October 2026, who were asked to re-register by 1 November 2026.

Which documents do you need?

Indonesia's Law 18/2017 Article 13 requires prospective migrant workers to hold a marital-status letter, family permission acknowledged by the village head or lurah, a competency certificate, a health certificate, a passport, a work visa, the Placement Agreement and the employment contract. For roster re-registration, KP2MI asks for a passport valid for at least 1 more year and a photo in the required format. Guides to getting a passport, a police clearance (SKCK) and visas are in the Related guides section below.

Where can you report brokers or violations?

The official EPS website has a reporting centre for violations in sending foreign workers, including by intermediaries. In Indonesia, report to KP2MI through the official channels below. If you are already in Korea and need help, contact the Indonesian mission through Portal Peduli WNI.

Frequently asked questions

How long is an EPS-TOPIK result valid?

According to the official EPS website, an EPS-TOPIK result is valid for 2 years from the date the results are announced. If your job-seeker roster period ends without an employer choosing you, KP2MI asks you to re-register while your pass certificate is still valid.

Why have I passed EPS-TOPIK but not left yet?

Passing EPS-TOPIK only puts you in the job-seeker pool. Employers in Korea choose workers from that pool, so the wait can be long and not everyone who passes departs. Paying someone to be chosen faster is not part of the official procedure.

Can I go to South Korea through a private agency?

For the E-9 visa under EPS, KP2MI is Indonesia's sending agency and the visa is applied for through it. Offers of E-9 work in Korea through individuals or agencies outside KP2MI are a warning sign.

What about the flight to Korea?

KP2MI announces the price of the ticket, handling and jacket package for each G to G Korea departure period, for example in its 1 October 2026 notice for October 2026 departures. Follow only those official notices and never pay a departure package to an individual.

When is the next EPS-TOPIK registration in Indonesia?

As of 8 October 2026, KP2MI had not announced a new EPS-TOPIK registration. The 2026 general EPS-TOPIK for manufacturing has already taken place, with results announced on 10 September 2026 and a skills test after that. The next registration dates are announced only on the G to G Korea page of the KP2MI website; KarirAman does not guess the date.
