What are the steps to work in Turkey through Turkish work permit (çalışma izni)?

  1. If an agency is involved, make sure the P3MI is active on SISKOP2MI and the Turkey vacancy is in the SISKOP2MI job list.
  2. Apply in person at the Turkish embassy or consulate general for the work permit; you receive a 16-digit reference number.
  3. The employer continues the application in e-İzin with that number; the result is sent to your e-mail and to the Turkish mission.
  4. Once the permit is granted, get the work visa and attend the pre-departure orientation (OPP); through a P3MI, make sure your E-KPMI is issued before departure.
  5. Start work within one month of entering Turkey, and complete residence registration as officially instructed.
